NUS Centennial Challenge Dinner
On 21 Jan 2006,we as a cheer dance team performed in the opening of NUS Centennial Challenge Dinner,it was fun and exciting..i really enjoyed it...or should i say this is the first time that i really enjoyed the performance..Last time, i won't enjoy in any competition or performance but to be anxious.Well, this time...in Suntec ballroom 1-3,100++ tables,more than 1000 people dinner..we performed in the opening,lead the guest of honour of NUS....really very proud of myself to be in the team....
We got to know each other through this event...we almost practised everyday for nearly 2 weeks.In the first week,i started learning the steps..and felt like not going to the performance...but in the second week,the steps were finally captured in my mind and i started having confident for the performance. with the guidence of Ricky,we really improved a lot although he meant to be saying that i danced like a "duck"....(yes,i know n i admit it)haha:)
i miss the time we practised and the day we were in suntec....u know..twelvce of us (me,vern,min sin,phooi shan,jie ying,wei ling,lele,sally,xiao hui,fang hui,thuong and hanh) in NUS Jacket printed NUS TEAM, walking in the suntec shopping centre,looking for long tables for lunch...no doubt that we became the main highlights in the shopping centre...{i like that feeling,haha:)}
in the performance, we did quite well...and we were invited to join the dinner after that....besides the dishes...we had red wine and white wine....haha and it's free....
Around 11,the dinner ended and i left with vern,min sin n dinesh(he went to the dinner too)...i sat with dinesh in the bus and we talked a lot...i got to realise that 22/1 was his birthday and yet he spent his first minute of 22nd birthday in the bus with ME!!haha.....anyway..happy birthday to dinesh....:)
well...it was a great day for me in NUS...i realise that if i dun join cheer dance,i won't be having so much fun with my teamates and i won't be having such a memorable moments in NUS....yahoooooo...cheer dance!! our motto - chest up,tummy in,stand straight,stay smile....^^
